Every Muslim is a leader, or can become a leader. We believe everyone can develop leadership qualities. People are born with almost equal capabilities. Those who are keen to develop certain qualities will succeed, Allah willing, with education, guidance and practice.
Leadership is the most needed quality for Muslims at this time in history. Only leaders can make the difference and change the Muslim community’s state.
We believe the Holy Quran has an abundance of seeds and models of Leadership. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his honorable companions are role models of leader for everyone, Muslims and non-Muslims.
Success is created in three phases; first is the motive, or the goal, second is the blueprint or plan of action, and last is the physical creation, or application. We believe leaders are neither made nor born; they are rather self-developed through knowledge, practice, and self-discovery.
Leadership is everyone’s business. Parents should be leaders of their children, managers should be leaders of their staff, Imams should be leaders of their congregations, older brethren should be leaders of their younger brethren, and for most, everyone should be a leader of him/her self to the path of success.
Leadership must be gradually and systematically acquired. Individuals have to lead themselves first to success before they can lead others. Leaders should be able to lead individuals around them before they can lead groups. Organizations’ leaders can only succeed if they have succeeded in leading groups. Leading leaders is the superlative in the leadership pyramid.
