Muslims are in need of effective leadership. Leadership is an essential ingredient of success and advancement of individuals, groups, and communities. Without leadership, most effort and time spent is fruitless. Leadership motivates people, boosts their energy and maximizes their productivity. Leadership aligns resources and talents to the maximum productive paths. Outstanding leadership typically stems out of a large foundation of leaders.

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is our role model. His leadership is unsurpassed over the history of mankind. Today, 1.5 Billions are cheerful followers of him. In leadership surveys, Honesty comes as number one quality of Leadership. Who has the title of the Honest, before and after Islam?

Leadership can be developed in anyone with genuine desire. It might be a long process, but results are guaranteed, Allah willing. The effectiveness of Leadership development is proportional mainly to the level of sincerity and commitment. There are numerous American organizations that promote Leadership; however, none of them is directly targeting the American Muslims. Some of the Leadership material in the market is contradictory to the fundamentals of our Islamic principles. The Holy Quran, the Holy Hadith, the biography of the Prophet (PBUH) and his honorable companions are full of comprehensive references of genuine concepts of Leadership. There has been very little effort in the past to organize and shine these values.

The MLI has collected and compiled almost all possible information on the subject of Leadership. We have adopted concepts that are only adhering to the Islamic principles. We have developed a set of systematic courses that are proven to help Muslims advance their leadership qualities. The courses are full of fun and hands on exercises. We also have developed printed and audio material for self-study. We excel in changing mindsets rather than injecting lots of information into people’s minds. We always target smaller audiences and do not anticipate drastically expanding our offerings. Quality is superior to quantity in our sense. Our classroom size is limited and every student is meticulously guided. Every participant in our course has a follow up discussion to ensure the maximum benefit of our courses.

We also offer consultation to organizations and groups. This is typically to enhance or to resolve leadership or organizational issues. On-site and customized training is one of our specialties as well.

American Muslims, like all other minorities, lack opportunities, and therefore, require dedicated and focused effort. The MLI believes Leadership is important to Muslims and non-Muslims; however, it is only targeting the Muslim minority at this time.
